We’ve taken the time to highlight some of our favorites that we love and know you will too! So, kick off your work shoes and loosen your tie for Labor Day Weekend in Webster!
JERRY RUN SUMMER THEATER
AUGUST 31 & SEPTEMBER 1 @ 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
The hills are alive with music at the Jerry Run Summer Theater over Labor Day weekend. Seats for shows are $7 and advance tickets recommended:
- Friday (8/31/2018) showcases Kay & Posey, an acoustic duo hailing from Morgantown, WV. Enjoy their unique vocal blend as they showcase their expanded repertoire into the worlds of contemporary and traditional folk styles as well as classic country!
- Saturday (9/1/2018) showcases Daniel Lilly and the Lilly Mountaineers, a dynamic group that blends country and bluegrass sounds with a dash of good humor and fun for the entire audience.
HOLLY RIVER FESTIVAL
Held at Holly River State Park, family-oriented fun combines with heritage arts & crafts, contests, live music, hay rides, cake walks, apple butter making, 5K run/walk and more in a beautiful sylvan setting. An antique/vintage car show, craft auction and gospel concert at nearby Jerry Run Summer Theater are the Saturday highlights. Enjoy all that the Festival has to offer in the beauty of the Holly River State Park.
ATV riders land in heaven at the annual Bergoo Bash! Get ready to get down and get a little dirty at the Bergoo Bash! This ATV rider’s heaven will be featuring a mud pit, poker run, horseshoe pitching contest, live entertainment, and so much more! Join the Webster Springs Volunteer Fire Department in Bergoo on Saturday for a down n’ dirty shindig!
2018 HOLLY RIVER HUSTLE 5K RUN/WALK
SEPTEMBER 2 @ 10:00 AM
If you have one mean running bug, lace up your sneakers for the Holly River Hustle! This out and back course laid out within Holly River State Park passes several small, shaded streams along the way, hustle through a lovely forest setting along the entire route. Start with a gradual uphill climb and then downhill on the way back, making for a speedy finish! The course climbs approximately 225 feet in 1.55 miles then descends. All proceeds go to the Holly River State Park Foundation.
WEBSTER COUNTY FAIR
Enjoy amusement rides, 4-H exhibits, livestock exhibits, arts and crafts and more at the annual Webster County Fair! Webster Springs is home to a week-long festival filled with a wealth of activities and events including a plethora of pageantry, competitive talent contest, pie auctions, and live music performances in the evenings! Chow down on a delicious array of fair foods and buffets at the Dining Hall and satisfy your need for thrills on carnival rides galore at the Webster County Fair. Attend the Fair’s 99th return as we celebrate all the beauty and events Webster County has to offer!
