Saturday October 7th the Annual Irish Road Bowling is happening at Holly River State Park!

Register begins around Noon and bowling will begin around 1

Teams are made up of 2-4 people.

26 oz. steel ball for $5 ——–At the end of the game you get you money back when you return your ball.

Held in a deep valley, one of the tour’s most beautiful roads, the Holly River State Park Full Challenge features October colors, a trout stream, rhododendron thickets, a bridge to loft over, and a massive stone pavilion for the medieval feast afterward. Irish Road Bowling is a scored by contestants rolling a small iron ball down a narrow country road. Every time the ball runs off the road you mark with chalk. Whoever ends up with the least amount of rolls is winner!

The Holly River State Park Foundation is selling t-shirts with a special 2023 Road Bowling graphic on the front.

The Holly River State Park hosts Irish Road Bowling every year the Saturday before Columbus Day.
